Ultra-wideband log-periodic dipole array 5g antenna

Content by Poynting.tech

The Poynting LPDA-500 Antenna builds on the legacy of its predecessor, the LPDA-92, which has been sold for over two decades and connected people to the rest of the world. The LPDA-500 is a high gain, uni-directional antenna that operates from 617 to 7200 MHz, with a peak gain of 11dBi. The ultra-wideband coverage includes current 5G and future cellular bands, as well as Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi 6E bands. Making the LPDA-500 ideal for the deployment of either cellular or Wi-Fi applications.

  • Futureproof ultra-wideband antenna from 617 – 7200 MHz
  • Exceptional high gain performance over entire frequency range
  • Compatible with 2G, 3G, 4G and future 5G technologies
  • Improves mobile network subscriber’s user experience
  • Ruggedized design for weather and vandal protection (IP65)
  • Deployable in any extreme weather conditions

The LPDA-500 antenna design is made from casted aluminium and features an all-new design, with an overall size of 1382 mm x 250 mm x 142 mm. The antenna offers a rugged and durable design with an IP65 ingress protection rating, making it weatherproof and waterproof. The LPDA-500 comes standard with a new and improved mounting bracket, which can be rotated at 45° intervals. This will allow for ease of installation and the customer will be able to mount multiple LPDA-500 antennas and orientate them in a MIMO configuration, i.e. vertical and horizontal or ±45°. Initial production stock of the LPDA-500 will be available from November 2022. If you have any high volume requirements, please let us know so that we can make provisions.

The key aspects with the new LPDA-500 antenna is:

  • Frequency Range: 617 – 7200 MHz
  • Peak Gain: 11dBi
  • MIMO: SISO
  • IP Rating: IP65
  • Radome Material: Aluminium
  • Cable Length: N/A
  • Connector: N-Type (female) bulkhead

Please note: The LPDA-500 adds to the current LPDA antenna range and no antenna will be discontinued.
