Overview
The Moxa UPort 1610-16 is a 16-port USB-to-serial converter in a 1U rack-mount chassis. It bridges a single USB 2.0 host port out to 16 independent DB9 serial ports, running RS-232 at baudrates up to 921.6 kbps. The unit is mains-powered (100-240 VAC via included power cord) rather than bus-powered, so it sustains 16 ports simultaneously without drawing on the host USB bus budget.
