The Moxa TCC-100 is an industrial RS-232 to RS-422/485 converter designed to extend RS-232 transmission distances in critical industrial environments. Supporting RS-422 full-duplex and RS-485 2-wire and 4-wire configurations, it is suited to applications where legacy RS-232 equipment needs to integrate with longer-distance serial networks. The compact metal housing supports both wall mounting and DIN-rail mounting (with optional kit), and terminal block wiring simplifies RS-422/485 field connections.
The TCC-100 provides two serial ports — one RS-232 (TxD, RxD, RTS, CTS, GND) and one RS-422/485 via terminal block. RS-422 mode supports full-duplex operation with optional RTS/CTS hardware flow control. RS-485 2-wire mode uses Data+/Data-/GND; 4-wire mode uses Tx+/Tx-/Rx+/Rx-/GND. Pull high/low resistors (1 kΩ / 150 kΩ) and three termination options (N/A, 120 Ω, 120 kΩ) are user-selectable.
Powered via terminal block at 12 to 48 VDC, drawing up to 47 mA. Standard operating temperature is -20 to 60°C; the TCC-100-T wide-temperature variant extends this to -40 to 85°C. Ambient humidity tolerance is 5 to 95% non-condensing. The metal IP30 housing measures 67 x 100.4 x 22 mm and weighs 148 g.
