The Moxa NPort 6150 Industrial 1-Port Secure Serial Device Server enables serial devices to be securely connected to modern Ethernet networks. Supporting RS-232/422/485 interfaces, it provides a reliable bridge for PLCs, meters, sensors, and legacy equipment to be accessed over IP-based networks, with data encryption to protect critical communications.
Security is a core feature of the NPort 6150. With support for TLS and SSH protocols, it ensures encrypted serial-to-Ethernet transmission across both private and public networks. It also includes advanced authentication (RADIUS, TACACS+), HTTPS, and SNMPv3, aligning with IEC 62443 cybersecurity standards for industrial automation systems.
To safeguard operations, the NPort 6150 provides a built-in 64 KB port buffer to prevent data loss during temporary Ethernet disconnections. Data is queued and automatically transmitted once the connection is restored, ensuring continuity in critical processes.
Flexible operation modes—including Secure Real COM, Secure TCP Server/Client, Secure Pair Connection, Reverse SSH, and Terminal—allow for seamless integration with existing SCADA, automation, and IT systems. With support for IPv6, broad OS drivers (Windows, Linux, macOS, UNIX), and virtualization platforms, the NPort 6150 is designed for long-term interoperability.
Built for demanding industrial environments, the NPort 6150 features a rugged metal housing, operates in temperatures from 0 to 55 °C (standard) or -40 to 75 °C (T model), and supports desktop, wall, or DIN-rail mounting.
