The Moxa NPort 5650I-8-DT is an 8-port RS-232/422/485 desktop serial device server with 2 kV serial isolation, dual Ethernet switch ports for cascade wiring, LCD panel, and dual DC power inputs. 12–48 VDC, 0 to 55°C.
The Moxa NPort 5600-DT Series are 8-port RS-232/422/485 desktop serial device servers offering the connectivity capability of a rackmount unit in a compact form factor. Designed for installations where DIN-rail or 19-inch rack mounting is not available, they feature dual Ethernet ports for cascade wiring, an LCD panel for easy IP configuration, and flexible power inputs.
The NPort 5610-8-DT provides RS-232 via DB9 connectors; the NPort 5610-8-DT-J uses 8-pin RJ45 connectors for RS-232. The NPort 5650-8-DT series provides RS-232/422/485 via DB9 (or 8-pin RJ45 for the -J variant). The NPort 5650I-8-DT adds 2 kV serial isolation. All models support baud rates to 921.6 kbps with full ADDC for RS-485 operation.
The dual RJ45 Ethernet switch ports allow units to be daisy-chained, reducing wiring complexity and eliminating the need for a separate Ethernet switch at each device location.
Windows Real COM drivers support Windows 11 through 95 and Windows Server 2022 through 2008. Linux Real TTY drivers cover kernel 2.4.x through 6.x. macOS Fixed TTY support for versions 10.12 through 11.x. ARM-based Linux (kernel 4.x/5.x) and Android 3.1.x+ are also supported.
Accepts 12 to 48 VDC via dual inputs (terminal block and power jack) with reverse polarity protection. Standard models operate 0 to 55°C; wide-temperature (-T) models extend to -40 to 75°C. Metal housing rated IP30 equivalent. Dimensions: 229 x 46 x 125 mm (with ears).
