The Moxa NPort 5450-T is a 4-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server with wide-temperature operation from -40 to 75°C for deployment in thermally challenging industrial environments. 12–48 VDC.
The Moxa NPort 5400 Series are 4-port RS-232/422/485 serial device servers designed for transparent serial-to-Ethernet connectivity. With an independent operation mode per serial port, a user-friendly LCD panel, dual DC power inputs, and adjustable termination resistors, the NPort 5400 series offers maximum flexibility for connecting up to four serial devices — such as PLCs, meters, and sensors — to an IP-based Ethernet network.
The NPort 5410 provides 4 RS-232 ports via DB9 male connectors. The NPort 5430/5430I use RS-422/485 terminal block connectors. The NPort 5450/5450I provide RS-232/422/485 via DB9 male connectors. All models support baud rates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps with configurable data bits, stop bits, parity, and flow control. Isolated models (5430I, 5450I, 5450I-T) include 2 kV protection against electrical transients.
A single 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 port with 1.5 kV built-in magnetic isolation provides network connectivity. Configuration is available via Windows Utility, Web Console (HTTP/HTTPS), and Telnet Console. SNMPv1/v2c and SNMPv3 management protocols are supported, alongside HTTPS (TLS 1.2) security.
Supports Windows 11 through 95 and Windows Server 2022 through NT (including Windows Embedded CE). Linux Real TTY drivers cover kernel 2.4.x through 6.x. macOS Fixed TTY drivers support versions 10.12 through 11.x. ARM-based Linux (kernel 5.x/4.x) and Android 3.1.x+ are also supported. Compatible with VMware ESXi, VMware Fusion, and Parallels Desktop.
Accepts 12 to 48 VDC via dual power inputs. Standard models operate from 0 to 55°C; the NPort 5450-T and 5450I-T extend to -40 to 75°C for harsh environments. Storage temperature range is -40 to 75°C. Ambient humidity tolerance is 5 to 95% non-condensing.
