Moxa MGate MB3660-8-2AC 8-Port Redundant Modbus Gateway (AC Power)

Overview

The Moxa MGate MB3660 Series are high-capacity 8 and 16-port redundant Modbus gateways in a 19-inch rackmount form factor. Designed for large-scale SCADA and DCS deployments, they convert between Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII, and can be accessed by up to 256 Modbus TCP clients simultaneously. Dual power inputs (AC or DC) and dual Ethernet ports provide redundancy for mission-critical applications including power substations and process plants.

High Performance with Command Learning

In transparent mode, the gateway passes Modbus commands between TCP and RTU/ASCII. In agent mode, the gateway actively polls serial devices in parallel, storing responses in local memory so the SCADA system can retrieve data directly without waiting for device round-trip latency — dramatically improving system throughput for large deployments.

Network Redundancy

The dual Ethernet ports can operate with the same IP address for automatic failover between primary and backup LAN, or with separate IP addresses for simultaneous dual-network access by Modbus TCP clients.

Power & Environmental

AC models accept 100–240 VAC; DC models accept 20–60 VDC with 1.5 kV isolation. Both inputs are hot-swappable redundant. Operating temperature is 0 to 60°C for all models. Metal 19-inch rackmount housing (480 x 45 x 198 mm with ears).
