The Moxa MGate 5103-T converts Modbus RTU/ASCII/TCP and EtherNet/IP to PROFINET IO device with wide-temperature operation from -40 to 75°C. GSDML export, microSD backup, 2 kV serial isolation, ATEX/IECEx certified.
The Moxa MGate 5103 is a 1-port industrial Ethernet gateway that converts Modbus RTU/ASCII/TCP or EtherNet/IP to PROFINET IO device communications. It bridges existing Modbus and EtherNet/IP field devices onto PROFINET-based control systems — such as Siemens or other PROFINET PLCs — without replacing existing field infrastructure.
The serial port (DB9 male, RS-232/422/485, 50 bps–921.6 kbps) supports Modbus RTU/ASCII master and slave modes. Modbus TCP operates as client and server with up to 16 client and 32 server connections. PROFINET IO device supports 1 IO controller connection with 512 bytes input/output. EtherNet/IP Adapter supports 1 scanner connection (read-only) and 1 scanner connection (read/write) with 496 bytes input/output. Supported Modbus functions: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 15, 16, 23.
