The Moxa EDS-G2005-ELP is a 5-port, entry-level unmanaged full Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for industrial environments requiring simple, high-bandwidth connectivity. All 5 10/100/1000BaseT(X) RJ45 ports support auto-negotiation, full/half duplex, and auto MDI/MDI-X for plug-and-play deployment with no configuration required. The ELP variant uses a plastic IP40 housing, making it the cost-sensitive alternative to the metal-housed EDS-G2005-EL for conditioned-cabinet and panel-mount installations not exposed to heavy mechanical abuse.
DIP switches on the outer panel allow users to enable or disable Quality of Service (QoS) and Broadcast Storm Protection (BSP) without software tools. The switch is compliant with PROFINET Conformance Class A (CC-A), making it suitable for PROFINET networks. It features store-and-forward switching, a 4K MAC address table, and a 1.5 Mbit packet buffer.
