It supports Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), High-Availability Seamless Redundancy (HSR), and Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP), making it ideal for machine vision, virtualization, AI-driven analytics, and edge-to-cloud connectivity.

Security is built-in, with Secure Boot, MACsec-256 encryption, and Cisco Cyber Vision for asset visibility and threat detection. Flexible management options include on-device WebUI/CLI, on-prem Cisco Catalyst Center, or cloud-based Meraki Dashboard, giving operators full control over their industrial infrastructure.

With up to 90W PoE per port and total budgets of up to 480W, the IE3500 supports power-hungry devices like Wi-Fi 7 access points, IP cameras, and industrial controllers. Fanless, hardened against shock and vibration, and operating in extreme temperatures (-40°C to +75°C), the IE3500 is engineered for long-term reliability.
