Mobotix EOL Reminder: Updating Your Camera and Vision Systems

Mobotix have announced the end-of-life (EOL) for several key cameras and thermal modules on April 15, 2025. Now is a good time to assess your current setup and plan for an easy transition to the latest intelligent camera technology.

What’s Changing & What We Suggest for Replacement:

• M26, D26, v26 Camera Bodies → These are being phased out, but the Mobotix ONE M1A-S, D71, and MOVE Dome/Turret cameras offer rugged, industrial-grade replacements.
• Q26 Day Variant → Moving forward, c26, Q71, c71, and MOVE Hemispheric cameras will cover wide-area monitoring needs.
• M73 & S74 Thermal Modules (640-T/R080) → If you’re using these for heat detection, switch to VGA thermal models with alternative apertures for enhanced coverage.
• M16B Thermal Camera (R090) → The recommended transition is to the Mobotix S74 with R090 thermal sensor module or a wider aperture M16B model for precise temperature monitoring.
• Mx6 Special Accessories → While some sensor cables remain available, discontinued caps and domes may require an alternative solution.

Rather than just swapping out devices, this is an opportunity to enhance site visibility, improve asset monitoring, and adopt smarter technology.
